Need help? - Christian Community Service Center at 6856 Bellaire Blvd. in Southwest Houston (at Gethsemane United Methodist Church) is a coalition of 38 area churches united in serving people through five programs: emergency services, JobNet, vision care, back-to-school help and the Jingle Bell Express.
- Motherland Inc., led by Victor Ndand-Ngoo of Saint Paul, is a clinic for everyone. Motherland offers health care, behavioral health care, HIV prevention, and help with substance abuse and childhood obesity. No one is turned away. Call 713-290-0001. Located at 4040 Yale St. in the Heights area of Houston, the clinic accepts self-payments, sliding fee arrangements, Medicaid, Medicare and various insurance plans.
